Cart Discounts

The Cart Discount feature allows users to apply a Custom Discount or Preset Discount to the entire cart (or all items that are part of the final order) instead of a discount to a single item.

Cart Discount Types

There are two types of discounts that you can apply to the cart: Custom Discounts and Preset Discounts. With a Custom Discount, you can apply a percentage or fixed discount amount by entering a value upon applying the discount. Alternatively, you can apply Preset Discounts created by administrators in the BackOffice. Preset Discounts are a helpful tool for tracking discounts (e.g., employee discounts) and promotions.

Apply Custom Discounts to the Cart

To apply a Custom Cart Discount:

1. Tap the Overflow Cart Menu button (three vertical dots) in the top-right corner of the screen (above the cart).

2. Tap Apply Cart Discount.

   

3. In the popup window, tap Apply Custom Discount.

   

4. Enter the amount using the keypad and select whether the discount is a percentage or a dollar amount.

   

5. Tap Apply Cart Discount to close the window and apply the discount to the cart.

After the Cart Discount is applied, a green notification bar above the cart will appear with the specified discount amount.

Apply Preset Discounts to the Cart

To apply a Preset Cart Discount:

1. Tap the Overflow Cart Menu button (three vertical dots) in the top-right corner of the screen (above the cart).

2. Tap Apply Cart Discount.

   

3. Tap the Preset Discount button you want to apply to the order.

   

4. Tap Apply Cart Discount to close the window and apply the discount to the cart.

Remove a Cart Discount

To remove a discount that is applied to the cart:

1. Tap the Overflow Cart Menu button (three vertical dots) in the top-right corner of the screen (above the cart).

2. Tap Remove Cart Discount.
