This article covers the various payment methods and how to accept payments at the Register.
Checkout
After adding all of the items to the cart, you are ready to check out and accept payment from the customer. Tap the green Pay button in the cart to begin the checkout process.
Cash and Credit Card Payments
Depending on how the system is configured, the following forms of payment are displayed on the checkout screen:
Cash
Credit (Visa/MasterCard/AMEX/Discover)
Quick Cash
Other
Gift Cards
Gift Certificates
Checks
House Accounts
Custom Tender Types
Accept Cash Payments
When processing a cash transaction, you can enter the amount of cash received by the customer by tapping the set denomination values below the keyboard, manually entering the amount of cash given to you, or tapping the Quick Cash button.
Set Denomination Values:
Tap the set denomination value (for example, $5, $10, $15, $20, $50, or $100) to take a cash payment in the amount automatically
If the set denomination value exceeds the check amount, you will be notified of the amount of change to give to the customer, if applicable.
If the set denomination value is less than the check amount, the value will be applied automatically, and you will be notified of the still-due amount. Proceed with taking payment for the remaining amount of the check.
Manual Entry:
Key in the amount the customer has given you, then tap the
Cashbutton.If the amount entered exceeds the check amount, you will be notified of the change to give to the customer, if applicable.
If the amount entered is less than the check amount, the value will be applied automatically, and you will be notified of the amount still due. Proceed with taking payment for the remaining amount of the check.
Quick Cash:
Tap the
Quick Cashbutton to accept cash payment for the check amount.
Accept Credit Card Payments
When processing a credit transaction, you can charge the full amount to process and tap the Credit Card button; alternatively, if charging less than the full amount, you can manually enter the amount to process and tap the Credit Card button.

Enter the amount to process on the checkout screen and tap the
Credit Cardbutton. If charging the total amount, tap theCredit Cardbutton.A command will prompt you to tap, insert, or swipe the credit card. Note: If you need to change the order, you can cancel the transaction on the card reader by pressing the red "
X" button or wait approximately 30 seconds for the card reader to time out.Tap, insert, or swipe the credit card to process the credit card payment.
Other Payments
Tap the Other button on the checkout screen to display a popup window with other payment options.
The payment options displayed in the popup window depend on how the system is configured and may include the following:
Gift Card
Gift Certificate
Check
House Account
Custom Tender Types
Split Payments
To process split payments, enter the amount you want to process and tap the respective payment type. Continue processing payments until the check is paid in full.
