Voiding Completed Orders

You can void "Open" and "Completed" orders in the Register via the Orders module. Voiding an order requires a manager (or a user with the "Void Transactions" permission enabled) PIN code.

To void an open (unpaid) order:

  1. Tap Orders from the top menu bar.

  2. Tap Open from the left-side menu to view the list of open orders.

  3. Locate the order you want to void and tap View Order.

  4. In the Order Details popup window, tap the Overflow Menu button (three vertical dots in the top-right corner) and tap Void Order.

  5. Select a Void Reason (if applicable)

  6. All voids require a Manager PIN. If you are not permitted to void transactions, enter a Manager PIN.

  7. Tap Void Order.

  8. Tap the Done button to close the window. 

To void a completed (paid) order:

  1. Tap Orders from the top menu bar.

  2. Tap Completed from the left-side menu to view the list of completed orders.

  3. Locate the order you want to void and tap View Order.

  4. In the Order Details popup window, tap the Overflow Menu button (three vertical dots in the top-right corner) and either Void Order or Void Payment.

    1. If voiding the order, select a Void Reason (if applicable) and tap Void Order. All voids require a Manager PIN. If you are not permitted to void transactions, enter a Manager PIN.

    2. If voiding a payment, you will be alerted that the order state will change back to Open. Tap Void Payment.

  5. Tap the Done button to close the window.
