Advanced Settings for Dining Options
There are three advanced settings for Dining Options that you can enable for more control over the system and how users interact with Dining Options. You can enable these in the Advanced Settings for Dining Options module in the Dining Options Settings section (below the Dining Options table).
Prompt Selection: If enabled, the default Dining Option is disabled, requiring the user to select a Dining Option manually. If no selection is made by Send/Pay, the system will prompt the user to select a Dining Option.
Prompt User to Select a Customer: If enabled, the system automatically prompts the user to add a customer name or look up a customer profile for specific Dining Options. After enabling this setting, you must select a Dining Option from the dropdown menu. You can use this feature to ensure a name is added to specific Dining Options (i.e., order types) or to speed up order entry for call-in orders (e.g., Take Out).
Tax Exemption: If enabled a tax exempt override allows you to exempt taxes based on specific dining options. When the condition is met, the exempted items will not have the tax rate applied.
